iBurst with Parallels

I use a wireless broadband product called iBurst. This product is available in Australia and South Africa (it's a Kyocera technology) and works on Macs.

It configures as a new ethernet adaptor (en3) as it utilises either a plug-in USB modem or as a PCMCIA card (on Powerbooks).

Parallels can't get internet access when I have an iBurst connection running. Having read the networking FAQ, I believe that this would be because Parallels currently look only for built-in ethernet or Airport connections, and isn;t looking for an connection on another adaptor.

Is there a way around this problem?

You might try host only networking, and share your en3 connection with the Parallels NIC.

Thanks very much for the suggestion. It works, akthough I suspect I will need to change the Parallels network settings when I am not using the iBurst connection.
