wow guys wow!! my simple question stirred a lot of heavy duty discussion, now can I ask yet another MAYBE stupid question? If I am not running the Parallels application and it is seating in my dock (in OS X) is al the 2 GB RAM I have, dedicated to OS X?
Parallels loads are kext, so I suppose it's possible that even when Parallels isn't running it is using a small amount of memory. But generally speaking, yes. When Parallels is closed it doesn't use any memory.
