I often have images which are mostly transparent with an object somewhere in there, a way to automatically batch trim the canvas to the content would save hours! I think this would fit perfectly in the "Resize Images" tool, a checkbox labelled "Trim" which would let you select the background colour (wether transparent or a solid colour)
