In a crappy motel in LA weak wifi, lost upgrade

I found out the hard way that parallels 9 does not work with maverick, my problem is I have a gig today 3 giant LED walls and all my set up software and info is on windows 7, and yep, I have a Mac.
I tried to upgrade to parallels 10, paid for it but, the wifi system in this motel/hotel really s---- and it died twice. I have the activation code/receipt etc and have been able to download the trial version only, I'm kinda real nervous co's, I can't afford to loose the info I have on my windows.
Here's the question, can I upgrade and use the upgrade activation code with the trial version (went to Starbucks for a download) I got from
www.parallels.com/products/desktop/download/

Yes, as long as you have an activation code that has never been use for the product you can enter it into the activation code area on parallels. This should activate your product.
 
Parallels 9 is perfectly compatible with OS X Mavericks, there's no need to upgrade to 10 if that's the sole reason.
