increasing VM disk...

I have an expanding disk, 64GB. At the time it's full. Does it increases automatically, or do I have to do it manually?

When I use the slider do resize, the flag expanding disk gets inactive, so will the disk no longer be an expanding disk, whit no automatic compression?
