Incredibly reduced internet speeds in OSX when Windows 7 virtual machine is active

When I launch my Windows 7 virtual machine and use the bridged Wi-Fi option in Parallels, my Mac OSX side loses all network bandwidth and basically comes to a crawl when trying to use internet. My VPN connection often drops when I launch Windows Parallels, or it will remain connected but have incredibly slow speeds. So bad to the point where I can't send email if Parallels is active.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hi MichaelP23, if Cisco WLC is used please enable "Passive Client" feature
* Open Cisco Configuration page.
* Choose WLANs > WLANs > WLAN ID to open the WLANs > Edit page.
* Choose the Advanced tab.
* Select the Passive Client check box to enable the passive client feature.
* Click Apply to commit your changes.
