Install 4.0 solution?

Having gone through my own personal hell for about 48 hours with the latest/greatest version of parallels I reinstalled version 3, a fresh install of XP and all the drivers that were lost in the pain. I read the forums daily but haven't found joy in the posting. In fact, it appears that more and more posts are reiterations of the the common problem experienced by most during the 4.0 install. Has the "community" come upon a solution where the new version works in every capacity? If so please post it here and save us hours of searching. I thought Parallels would have put a sticky on the 4.0 install suggesting that we wait until the bugs are worked out. Sadly, no and I see many are heading to VM software.

I must have been LUCKY, just brought my MBP, had put v3 on seen that they had V4 out so I updated with the trial version till they send me my new reg#. I am using Vista Basic, and had no problems.
Though I don't know if it was because everything is new in my computer only a couple days old or I just got really lucky.
I wish I had some info to help
