Install Error - Windows XP - ACPI.SYS

I am trying to install Windows XP under build 5160. I get an error during express install:

File acpi.sys caused an unexpected error (512) at line 5964 in d:\xpsprtm\base\boot\setup\setup.c.

Press any key to continue.

What's going on? Any ideas how to fix?

Could you please try Custom installation to find out when exactly you get this error? This might help us to diagnose the problem.

I get this error during the initial setup phase of Windows XP - during the blue DOS screen when it initially starts loading, before any setup has actually occurred.

Ggaudrea, please try disabling VT-x support in Configuration Editor - Options - Advanced tab. Set Acceleration level to Disabled. When installation finishes, set Acceleration level to High again.

The issue could also be caused by installation disk damages. Are you sure your installation disk is OK?
