Hello, I am using Parallels 18.2.0 with a M1 chip. Parallels always installs the Windows 11 Pro version, but I only have a license of the Home version. During the installation I also had no possibility to choose the version. On the site of Microsoft have not found an iso file for Windows arm. And from third party sites I was not sure if it is safe. How can I install Windows 11 Home? Greetings Matthias Translated with www.DeepL.com/Translator (free version)
Hello Matthias, Foremost, please be advised that Windows Home Edition isn't officially supported by Microsoft to run on M-Series Mac computers, while Windows 11 Pro Edition is. That's why Pro Edition is downloaded by default. You can contact Microsoft and arrange a refund for your Windows Home Edition license to purchase a Windows Pro Edition license from them. If you posses a Microsoft account, you can get support at https://aka.ms/msfthelp. Self-help resources are available at https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows. If it doesn't help you, please let me know.
Hello Mikhail, Thank you for your message. Too bad. I did the same thing on my wife's computer in December. Also a M1 chip. At that time it still worked with Home. I have now as a workaround copied the Windows from my wife on my computer, created a new user and entered my Windows activation key. This works so far without problems. Greetings Matthias
This guide explains how you can install Windows Home. The build numbers mentioned in the thread are old. Just look for Windows 11 2H22 and find the newest build in the Retail Channel. Keep in mind that Windows Home on M-series Macs is not supported by Microsoft. I'm not aware of any problems running Home, though.
