Install XP Stalls

Bit poster
Set up VM. I get ERROR 7 and acpi.sys is corrupted.

The install stalls and CD stops.

I cannot install Windows.

Is this a bad copy of Windows or a parallels issue?

Windows What? (XP, 2k, ...)

There is a lot of people with windows going under parallels, so I'm thinking it is your copy ;-)
 
Having the same issue...

I'm having the same issue that the previous poster suggested. During XP HOME SP2 install I get a message that acpi.sys is corrupted. I've updated to most recent release of Parallels. Any other suggestions? Trying to get on the phone with technical support but the hold time today was over 1.25 hrs.
