Installed 3106 on new MacBook, now it won't boot anything.

booting from a second macbook that was running in target disk mode did not work for me. My macbook acts like it is booting off of the drive, but then goes into a blue screen like it is loading OSX and then stops. this is all very similar to the things described in This Thread. I have the exact same symptoms as this guy. Apple is sending me a box tomorrow, but I wish there was a way to fix it that didn't involve sending it out.
 
Update...

When I got into work this morning I tried the target disk mode fix again, this time with a PPC PowerBook. Ran disk utilities and repaired disk, and my Intel MacBook started up just fine this time!! I may not use parallels again until the final release, but at least its good to have my computer running again!
 
Try removing parallels startup items

I encountered the same problem (macbook froze when running beta version of parallels and then wouldnt reboot in os x or windows due to kernel errors - also couldnt reboot from the os x CD).

Fix for me was to:

(i) boot the macbook in firewire mode (press T when you reboot),
(ii) browse my macbook's hard drive using another mac (a G5 imac in this case),
(iii) move the folder library/startupitems/parallels out of the startup items directory
(iv) OS X then reboots ok
(v) in OS X open the file "boot.ini" on the windows partition (can probably only do this if your bootcamp partition is FAT32)
(vi) change the default operating system to bootcamp rather than parallels as discussed on http://forum.parallels.com/post37496-30.html
(vii) bootcamp then works ok

I guess an option for "uninstalling parallels" would be good ...
 
Same problem here with my MacBook. Sadly, I don't have any of the required software, or another Mac to help me out with.

I booted a Ubuntu live CD, and fortunately I was able to mount my drive and copy off the most important stuff. I tried to use fsck.hfsplus (as described here: http://forum.insanelymac.com/lofiversion/index.php/t33982.html ), but it didn't help me out at all. Ended up having to use Gnome Parted to destroy all of the partitions and then the install CD would boot.

I realize this is Beta software, and it's use at your own risk. However, this is the type of problem that definitely needs to be fixed before the final RC. This is a very bad thing to happen.
