    Hi,

I try to install a virtual Mountain Lion with Parallels to test it (I'm today running Snow Leopard in a 27" iMac (fall 2009)).

But I don't know why the installation doesn't run.
When I load my InstallESD.dmg image and start the virtual machine to run the installation, nothing happens.
Just a grey window with the Apple logo in the center.

Did I missed something ? Is the virtual machine configuration not good (I left all defaults (1 CPU, 2 Go RAM, ...)).
I tried many Mountain Lion images but always the same problem.

    Thx for your anwers.

    So, ML is freshly installed.
But my resolution is stuck at 1024x768, which so nasty cause I own a 27" iMac.

Did I miss something again in the configuration ?

@nuuut76 - please install Parallels Tools at Virtual Machine > Install Parallels Tools

    Thx for your reply.

It asks me the Parallels Tools installation disc.
Is it in the Parallels Desktop installation package ?
Or will I find it somewhere else (on the Parallels internet site, another disc, ...) ?

It should have mounted it automatically.
But the path to Parallels Tools installer is /Applications/Parallels Desktop.app/Contents/Resources
    (you need prl-tools-mac.iso)

    I thank you very much.
    It worked.

And it's right that I don't understand why it didn't mount automatically (it did with my Windows 7 VM).

    So now, all is OK.
Except one thing : I can't launch "Messages" with my Apple account.

Is it possible that it doesn't work because I launch it through a guest system ?

Nope, it should work. Is it the only app which fails to start?
