Installing VM or using Bootcamp

Hey guys

Recently purchased Parallel and installed it and win7 on it
but when I told it to my friends they told me that what i should have done was install win7 using bootcamp
and then installed Parallel and made it somehow use the windows as virtual machine so i can also run it as parallel
and this way i can also run simple windows for when i need to

my problem is that i have a MBA with only 128GB hd which means not a lot of room to spare so my current option suites me well
i would like to know though if i picked wisely and what are the drawbacks.

I have Windows on a Bootcamp partition that I access via Parallels, very rarely (it's been months) I need or want to boot Windows natively and I could just get rid of it and migrate it to a VM, but each person's requirements/constrains may vary, like:

* If you have more than 4 GB of physical RAM you are less likely to need to boot Windows natively.
* If you need to run very hardware demanding apps on Windows (like: photo, video and audio editing; 3D modelling and animation) you are more likely to need to boot into Bootcamp.
* If you want to run the latest games on it you are more likely to need to boot into Bootcamp.

In terms of disk space, the difference is that via Bootcamp you have to assign a fixed space of your disk to it, and in a 'pure' Parallels vm the space required is dynamic.
