Hi, I just installed Parallels Desktop 3 and I'm quite new with this things so i hope you could help me out.
I was trying to install Windws XP on my new MacBook but it didn't work.
I created an image of the installation disk I already used before so there's nothing wrong with the .dmg file.
I followed the simple steps for creating a new virtual machine and at the end when the installation was about to begin i recive this message:
Boot from hard drive... FAILED.
Boot from CD/DVD-ROM drive... FAILED.
Boot from floppy drive...
Non-System or disk error
Repace and press any key when ready
It didn't want to connect to my default DVD drive eather that's why i made an image of the Windows XP CD.
Could it be the problem that my version of Windows is XP Professional only, without any service pack?
Does anyone have an idea of what went wrong? What should I do?
Thanks,
dolce.
