I'm not sure what to call this problem, so perhaps I haven't done the best Search. Please forgive. I've been running Windows 7 in Parallels 10 on OS X Yosemite for a long time. In recent weeks I've developed an intermittent problem where I'm unable to click on anything within the Win7 window to select something, or start a program, or close a window, etc. The mouse (actually, I use a trackball) will move the cursor properly, but I can't left or right click on anything. I have to reboot both the VM and my iMac in order for things to operate normally again. And then, in no pattern I can predict, the problem will at some point return. I've tried reinstalling Parallels Tools, even returned to a previous version of the VM (using Time Machine), and tried using other VMs I have old copies of. Nothing seems to make a difference. Has anyone seen this problem before? Any advice?
Hello joelH1, Try to uninstall and (re)install Parallels Tools. Once the tools are successfully installed kindly restart you Windows Virtual Machine and follow the steps below: Click on Actions in Mac menu bar > Configure... > Hardware > Keyboard and Mouse > "Don't optimize for games" Note: Disable/Uncheck -> "Mouse pointer sticks at Windows edges". Kindly let us know how it works.
