Internet Explorer keeps popping up

I run Parallels 5 and Windows 7, and am having an issue with Internet Explorer 8 popping up every minute or so, which interrupts whatever I am doing on other programs. Any suggestions how I can stop this from happening? I have to run Internet Explorer for a specific order processing system that doesn't work on other browsers.
