Internet Explorer will not connect to internet while using Windows 7

I have tried the suggestion of going to Tools, Connections, LAN settings, and unchecking "automatically detect settings". While I'm working in Windows mode, I still cannot connect with IE. I have some Windows program that need internet access to update software.

Hey, As I understand you're using Parallels Desktop? Right?
