Internet Security for Mac Protects Windows VM??

I have Kaspersky Internet Security for Mac running on my iMac. I'm running Parallels 9 under OSX 10.9.3. Does the internet security for Mac also provide protection for a Windows 7 VM I'm running in coherence mode under Parallels?

“Kaspersky Internet security for Mac” will not provide protection for Virtual Machine(Windows), even if it is running in Coherence mode.
