is there a max size for bootcamp part in parallels 6/7?

I have a new macbook pro late august 2011 with 8 gb ram and 750 gb hard drive. Running 10.7.1.

Large bootcamp partition of 350 gb with win 7 pro activated/working just fine.

I bought ver 6 today from office max now waiting for a 7 registration key.

I tried installing 7 with trial key but it does not see my bootcamp partition. Restored os from time machine along with win 7 system from image backup and installed up to date 6 that is activated etc.

Neither version would see my bootcamp partition. Wondering if it is just too big ( although I would think you would get a warning message ).

Seriously looking like this software is not going to work on my machine?

Maybe this weekend coming up I will create an external disk setup similarly and get put in place for further testing and debugging.

At this time though ... I am restoring again ... don't want any questions about my system with a week of work coming up.

Any ideas appreciated as well as things to check out this weekend when I do some more hacking on an external drive!

One other thing I just thought of ... this bootcamp partition I am running on was created like this:

I have the base 320 gb drive and created a 200 gb win 7 partition. I eventually bought a bigger drive and created a 400 os x/350 gb win 7 system with a fresh install of lion from recovery disk then time machine recovery. The win 7 partition I recovered by going into bootcamp and using win 7 install disk restore image from backup.

I did not run the bootcamp software install again into the win 7 system because it seems like all that stuff is already in there. But maybe something is needed in the bootcamp install to help connect together the bootcamp partition into the new hard drive that it is running on. Something that normal startup/shutdown/restart on either operating system does not care about but maybe parallels does somewhere?
