We would like to use 2X to run most apps on our network. We are an OS400 heavy environment.
I am looking for a way to create an iseries session that brings in the computer name of the user's PC or thin client rather than having the user configure the session with every login. Is this possible?

We also use iSeries Access. What I did was to move the shorcut that gets created with iSeries Navigator and place it in a drive accesible to all users. You can even place it in All Users/Desktop and then publish with 2X. You need to modify the shortcut to start a 5250 session and select the .ws file that has the connection info.

However, I don't use the client name, so we get the standard QPADEV### naming convention. And I don't see how 2X can make this happen as all 5250 sessions will be really running from the server and the computer name will be the same for all sessions.
