Soooo I'm going to take a wild-arse guess and bet that this isn't going to work in Parallels Desktop 9 and some sort of upgrade is required. Here we go again.
Anyone have any success, or am I finally barking up a tree?
Answering my own question:
I used yum to downgrade back to fc20 (essentially 1.14) which is compatible with prlvideo_drv.so, which seems to work. Just how stable is another story:
sudo yum --releasever=20 downgrade xorg-X11*
