kernel_task consumes too much CPU %

Hi, i have recently updated to Leopard 10.5.2 from Tiger 10.4.8 where Parallels was running smoothly. Now i have a kernel_task that consumes too much % of CPU and can't work. I've uninstalled parallels and everything just works fine. Once I install it again all the problems start over.

Any Help?

I'm using Parallels Desktop 5592 Mac.

Thanks

Hallo,

Do you have lines like "IPI stat: rescheduled X CPUs out of Y" in your system.log? If so, this a known problem and it will be fixed in the next update.

Same problem on latest version

I am running the latest version of Parallels Desktop (3.0 build 5608) and OSX (10.5.5). Kernel_Task will max out at 100% CPU until closing Parallels Tools. Parallels Tools also often locks up the Windows XP SP2 VM when trying to access shared folders or copy & paste.

Antivirus

Closing down AntiVirus on the Windows side does not appear to have resolved the situation. Nothing unusual in console.
