Hello,

My friend gave me a disk image with a trial version of parallels and a SN with which to install. I did so and parallels automatically replaced my bootcamp partition, which became inoperable with the release of Leopard. I liked parallels, so I purchased the upgrade to the latest build (5582). However, when I installed it, it asked for my permanent activation key, I entered my key given in the trial version by my friend, and it said that it was invalid. Now I have purchased an upgrade that won't finish installing. Can someone on the team help me?

After using the version that my friend gave me, I received an automatic update message, which I downloaded and installed. After doing so, I was asked for an activation key. Since I liked the product thus far, I decided that I would purchase a key. I clicked on the update button in the program that said "purchase key" and it took me to a parallels website that had the latest version there. When I clicked "purchase", in my cart it said "5582 upgrade", so I bought it, received my key in email and entered it. After that, it asked for my previous key and I entered the code that my friend's trial version came with and it said that it was invalid.

you have bought an upgrade activation key.
To use your 3.0 upgrade activation key, you should have the previous version of Parallels Desktop for Mac already activated . If you do not have the previous version, you may buy a full version of Parallels Desktop for Mac 3.0. In this case we will make a refund for the 3.0 upgrade activation key you have purchased. The refund should hit your credit card account shortly after I initiate the Money-back process..
Then you may buy the full version online on our website or as a boxed copy from a local reseller.

Thanks. Yes, please refund the activation key so I can buy the full version. Will I have to buy an upgrade activation key again after getting the full version?
 
I have initiated the money-back process. The refund should hit your credit card account within 5 business days.
Now you should buy a full version of Parallels Desktop 3.x. Parallels software is available for purchasing at http://www.parallels.com/en/shop/ .
Then you can use the key that you have purchased with any build of Parallels Desktop 3.x even with the new updates.

URGENT: Wrongly bought upgrade to parallels desktop 3 option instead of full version

Hi support,

Similar to the previous post, i had wrongly bought the upgrade option as follows:
"Extended Download for Parallels Desktop 3.0 for Mac Upgrade [300164024] (12 months)" (element 5 Order no. 201754015)

After reading this post, i realize i should bought the full package for one license as i am trying to upgrade from a trial version and not a previously bought full version.

Can you please help me refund the money i have paid for the upgrade option back to my credit card so that i can go ahead and buy a full version asap? As my trial key has already expired today, i need to buy the full version asap. Please confirm the money return asap.
