Hello, i have a problem in my windows 10 guest. Keyboard does not work in some Microsoft application, for example in search, edge. In other applications keyboard work properly.
@AndrzejL Hi! Try these steps- Start Windows VM > open start menu (lower left corner)> Run > copy paste this command ' C:\Windows\system32\ctfmon.exe ' (without quotes) > Restart Windows and see if it helps.
Thank you! I was having the same problem but I found this and it took care of it. Just curious: If running ctfmon only one time is necessary, why doesn't Windows do it?
We are glad that executing ctfmon.exe resolved the issue. For initiating ctfmon one time, Windows needs to add it to the startup programs or background services.
