Issue:
1) When using Windows 7 fullscreen, and I attempt to type in any program (Chrome, Office, Notepad, etc) my keyboard input is lagged. I can often outspeed the data entry by good measure. This makes adjusting typos labor intensive
2) When I SELECT something the mouse input is lagged. So lagged that I often select the wrong thing. My visual lag is similar to what is seen in this video:
(I should note that I'm not using the Smoothmouse application like that user is)
Context:
I am using a Macbook 15 Retina. I am utilizing Parallels 10 (latest updates) with Windows 7. I have two monitors plugged into my macbook (both via thunderbolt) and an external keyboard (logitech G510) and Logitech USB mouse. I should note that all of my problems occur even if i disconnect the monitors, mouse, and keyboard and just utilize the laptop.
Settings:
I almost exclusively use Windows in Fullscreen. I often am a power user pushing through multiple complex XLS sheets which only makes the above issues worse. I have configured Parallels to be set to the following under ACTIONS > CONFIGURE
- General Tab: Configure fore: Productivity (modified)
- Options Tab: Optimization -> Performance: Faster Virtual Machine
- Options Tab: Optimization -> Performance: Enable Adaptive Hypervisor
- Options Tab: Optimization -> Performance: Tune Windows for Speed
- Hardware Tab: Mouse & Keyboard -> Smartmouse: Enable Smooth scrolling (Checked)
Advice? Thoughts? I should clearly note that when using the exact same setup on Parallels 9, I did not have any of these problems.
Thanks in advance!
