Keyboard layout of MAC changes when starting a VM

Hello,

i have several keyboard layouts defined in my iMAC (Apple Magic Keyboard, Standard PC Keyboard).

By default, the added Standard PC Keyboard is active on my iMAC. As soon as I start a new VM, the keyboard changes to default Apple Magic Keyboard layout, so in the VM, the keyboard layout is a mess ...
Going back to Mac OS and changing the Keyboard to Standard PC Layout ... but as soon as I click into the VM Window, the keyboard changes to Apple Magic Keyboard ...

How can I fix this ?
 
Hi @JohnD21, are you using Windows 10 virtual machine? Please take a Snapshot and then follow the steps mentioned below to fix the issue:
1. Go to Windows 10 Settings menu -> type "Region and Language" -> under "Preferred language" choose the desired language, click on Options -> Add a keyboard -> choose the desired language.
2. Reboot the virtual machine and check the keyboard layout and keep us posted the results.
 
Thank you so much! I had the same problem of keyboard switching to something else under Windows and have been searching for a solution for 3 hours now, found it!! But that still doesn't explain why this happened all of a sudden, everything worked fine until it changed in a sec :-(
