    Hi All,

maybe I didn´t quite get the concept...

I´m new to VM. Yesterday I installed Ubuntu 10.10 with Desktop 6 on Mac OSX 10.5. No problems at all, no funny questions.

Today I wanted to install Kubuntu 10.10 and now the installation routine asks me, if I´d like to completely delete my "SCSI (0.0.0) (sda) - 68.7 GB ATA Virtual HDD [0]" or if I´d like to make a partition.

Point is: My (physical) HDD has about 320 GB of which about 30 GB is free. And no partition whatsoever.

What do I want? I want to start Kubuntu from time to time to cross-check website-programming on konqueror/rekonq. I do not want to make a partition on my physical HDD.

I´m sort of confused... why does Kubuntu think that I had a "68.7 GB HDD" when only 30 GB are free on my physical HDD? And how do I react to the request? What does the installation routine delete in case I said, "okay, so go ahead and delete that virtual HDD"?

Or should I do a partition of that virtual drive?

    Thanks for any input

    Martin
