Language Input Method: Windows 2003 Server: Chinese 5 Pen

I recently solve a problem regarding the change of input method in 2X and want to share with all of you.

Environment:
Windows 2003 ENG standard

Task:
To install simplified Chinese 5 pen input method for seamless windows application

Problem:
install the input method and login to the profile, change the input method -> error

Reseach:
1. This is not related to 2X. Some people mentioned that this is because 2X is not accepting the Ctrl + Space combination. This is wrong. The problem is from Terminal Server architecture

2. You must use Application Locale (AL) to install the input method in most case. AL can install on W2003

3. After you install it, you need to change the registry. No matter what you change in Regional Setting, it will not work. Forget it

4. Search and locate the input method in registry. They should be in:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control\Keyboard Layouts

5. The name of the input method MUST be in English. If it is in Chinese now, change the name

6. Login to the profile, goto regional setting and add the input method now.

7. Next, you have to assign key for changing the input method in seamless windows application. I use Ctrl + Shift + 1, 2, 3, 4 for different combination

8. You MUST have the SAME input method in local Windows

9. You should be able to use the newly installed Chinese input method

10. And I am pretty sure that it will work on input method for other language as well
