In Windows and Mac you can jump over a word with the Alt key. You can also select holding shift at the same time.
I don't understand why in parallels to be able to get this jump I have to press CTL + SHIFT + ALT then Release ALT to be able to jump over words. As it seems to require SHIFT I can only do this whilst selecting.
Where is this documented that I have to release this Alt key to be able to use Alt functionality? It makes little sense.
How can this be changed?
 
Hi Barry, Please go to the Parallels Desktop menu > Preferences > Shortcuts tab > System Shortcuts > set 'Send System Shortcuts' option to 'Always'. Restart Virtual Machine and use Ctrl or Shift keys and let us know how it works.
