'Leftover' network adapters

I have previously used PD3 and it installed two 'virtual' network adapters into the Mac OS X stack - "Parallels Shared Networking Adapter" and "Parallels Host-Only Networking Adapter". With PD4, there is now the option to use "Shared Networking" or "Host-Only Networking" and "Bridged->Parallels Shared Networking Adapter" etc. in the Devices menu. This suggests to me that the old 'virtual' adapters are no longer relevant with PD4 and I should be able to delete them.

Is this true?
Should these virtual adapters have been removed by the upgrade process?
 
Could you please send a screenshot of the Mac OS X network configuration?

By design there should be two networking adapters. If your system has four and two of them (which may left from PD30)are disabled, then this is an installer issue that need to be fixed.

No, you have exactly what shall be. All is ok with system. These adapters are required for the Parallels Desktop 4.0
