Leopard 10.5.3 and re-installing Parallel Tools

I am a Parallels newbie and I have Leopard 10.5.3 and XP. I've seen some posts that suggest re-installing Parallel Tools. Is that something that everyone should do? Whether they have problems or not (I have a few minor ones). Should I un-install the tools first, reboot and then install them from the menu item?

A little bit more information. The Mac is a brand new MacBook Pro that came with 10.5.2. After turning it on, the first Software Update installed 10.5.3. After all Software Updates I installed Parallels 3.0.5600. So... is it necessary for me to re-install Parallel Tools?

I unistalled, rebooted, reinstalled, rebooted again. That fixed my issue.

It's good to hear that a new version is coming. I'll keep an eye out for it. Hopefully it has a few "positive surprises" for us beyond fixing this issue.
 
5604 is wreaking havoc for me on 10.5.3. As soon as I try to resume or start one of my Windows VMs, the app freezes. Force quit once, nothing. Force quit again, claims to quit. There's still an icon in the dock though and nothing gets rid of it. I have to logout or restart to get Parallels back up ... but it's pointless because I get the same results every time. Trying to launch Parallels after force quitting (and having the lingering icon in the dock) results in a dialog which says something like "Cannot launch application "Parallels Desktop.app" (-600)"

So aggravating. Seems like the stability of Parallels has suffered greatly lately. I don't think any one of the last three updates has gone smoothly for me.
 
Restarted (again). Reinstalled. Ran Parallels, selected a VM, but then quit before doing anything. Then started it, selected a VM and pushed play. This time it worked.

I don't know which part of the voodoo fixed it.
 
I installed the first linked update, the non-ND version, with my VM running Windows XP SP-3 and the flickering went away... however, I would like to know what the difference is between the two versions posted...

I will try to answer to all questions for past 2 days
1. For whom it didn't help, please reinstall Parallels Desktop as described in http://kb.parallels.com/en/4790
We tested in every possible combination, and we are sure that flickering problem is resolved - and at last if problem is still there, please create ticket in support, with subject flickering - just give a call and ask assign to John @Parallels.
I will be able to trace those tickets during weekend

2. About localized builds, we are doing very hard work to localize Parallels Desktop as soon as possible, I hope I will be able to provide some information in Monday

3. About hidden link - we are working to improve autoupdate, and again I hope, I will be able to answer in Monday about this

Please provide additional questions, if I missed something
