We had a power cut and my iMac had to restart while running Parallels. It complete destroyed my copy of Win11, and I need to reinstall. But when I use the Installation Assistant, it doesn't get past the Select location menu because it says there is no driver (see attachment). I don't know how to resolve this. I've tried downloading Win11 straight from Windows and using a bootable USB with the iso on it. Same problem. Any ideas? 462537057_473893092347341_5464317712669124381_n.png

I am trying to install a fresh copy of Windows 11 and I've run into the same problem? I clicked the Download from Windows button and it got stuck here.

Got the following reply from parallels:
We understand your issue and this is happening due to the latest Windows 11 24H2 sub-release. In order to address your issue, please refer to the "Installing 24H2" of this article:
    https://kb.parallels.com/en/130254
Basically they say load the previous version, and the problem should disappear.

And it does, I've managed to load 23H2.

It sounds like quite the challenge! Power interruptions can cause many issues, especially with virtual machines like Parallels. The missing driver message you're encountering during the Windows 11 installation could be due to a corrupt or missing driver for the virtual hard disk or a USB controller, which is why it's halting at the location selection step.

Here are a few suggestions to try:
    Recreate the Bootable USB
    Check Virtual Machine Settings
Load Drivers Manually: If you see a prompt for missing drivers, download the necessary drivers (usually related to storage or USB controllers) and load them during the installation when prompted.

At EliteHubs, they've seen similar driver-related issues occur with Windows installations, especially when using virtual environments or external hardware. Having the right drivers handy and ensuring your virtual machine settings are correct can make all the difference. Best of luck with the reinstallation! Let me know how it goes or if you need further assistance.
