Logitech MX518 Supported?

I have a Logitech MX518 mouse that has ten buttons with the following button ints:

Left click - 1
Right click - 3
Mouse wheel click - 2
mw down - 5
mw up - 4,
plus - 6
minus - 7
side forward - 8
side backward - 9
task switcher - 10

The only buttons that work within Parallels workstation are left, right, mouse wheel click, mw down and mw up.

The two buttons I'm most concerned with are the two side buttons that I use for going back and forth in Firefox, etc.

It appears when running an application to check the button numbers in Parallels, the side forward and backward buttons have int 4 (the same as mw up).

So when I press either button, documents, webpages, etc scroll up rather than go back and forward.

Does parallels have a limitation with the number of buttons USB mice can use?

I have a similar problem. I'm running 3036, with a Logitech MX510. In my case, the side back/forward buttons (4 and 5) both bring up the Start Menu. Sigh.

Nevermind. I see that this is caused by how the Logitech Control Center Mac OS X driver handles the mouse. The Back and Left buttons are assigned key strokes (be default they are assigned Command-Left and Command-Right). These give the expected Back and Forward functionality in many Mac apps, but translate to Window-Left and Window-Right in Windows. Boo. Hence the Start Menu behavior when clicking those buttons.

It seems like Mac OS X doesn't respond to button's 4 or 5, because you can use the Logitech Control Center to assign a Button-4 and Button-5 click to the Back and Forward mouse buttons, respectively, but neither Mac nor Windows applications respond to this.
