After initiating remote access vie LogMeIn between 2 Macs, I start WinXP under Parallels 5 on the remote machine. Everything I type in the VM appears in lowercase, while doing the same on a Mac app behaves normally. Shift and Shift Lock seem to be disabled on the VM. Environment: 2 iMacs LogMeIn (logmein.com) accessed thru Safari, from Mac to Mac Parallels 5 Build 9344 VM: WinXP Pro SP3, german -- Harald
Now that it's a little later than 4:30AM, I've had time to think and do a quick search. It's apparently a bug with LogMeIn. I found this thread: http://community.logmein.com/t5/Fre...issues-on-Windows-7-Parallels-Host/td-p/52706 I'm going to keep looking for more information. I find it incredible that the shift key is "not supported." It does work with the native Mac apps - just not Parallels.
Yeah, its been like this for a long time. A workaround I use is the native on-screen keyboard in Windows.
I have this same problem with Parallels Desktop 7 and LogMeIn. Has anyone at Parallels even looked into this? Does VMWare's Fusion have this same problem?
