Lost all data on windows re-install.

I am not sure what happened to cause this but when I tried to open parallels yesterday
it prompted me to reinstall my windows vista program. Now when I open windows none
of my data shows up? How can I retrieve this data? Of much less importance is the
fact I cannot connect to the internet with a message telling me to reinstall drivers.
Help please.

I am afraid if you do not have backup, you cannot get access to data, when asked to reinstall Vista, you formated old partition
