I recently went through a bad Mavericks upgrade - my 2007 iMac was just too slow to use. Only choice was to restore to a mid October Mountain Lion TM version.

All is good except Parallels can't find the VM. I have the windows Applications folder, but there is no .pvm file to be found. I even searched the back up disk and not a single instance of the letter .pvm exists.

I don't recall disabling Time machine backups. If I did why would the Apps folder show up?

Of course I lost my Windows 7 disks.

Assuming i need to reinstall windows, can I connect the new VM to the old applications folder to avoid reinstalling all of my apps?

    Thanks!
