After the latest 17.0.1 update, my Ubuntu 20.04 VM has been taking extremely long to boot up and a message stating 'random: lvm: uninitialized unrandom read (4 bytes read)' appears in the console during startup. As the message suggests, I am using lvm. A fsck check is also done at every single startup with a result of 'clean' each time.

Reinstalling parallels tools had no effect, same with installing 'haveged' as an additional entropy source.

Could you try to boot VM with some cd/dvd image connected? No matter what image is.

Thank you so much! That somehow fixed the issue, which makes absolutely no sense.

Amazing! I had the same issue and attaching an ISO of Windows 11 ARM to my Ubuntu ARM VM is now rebooting after updating to latest updates - thank you!

This is fixed for me in Parallels version 17.0.1 (51482).
