Mac connection lost after starting XP

I've had Parallels working perfectly for a year. Installed Apple's new wireless Extreme Base two days ago - no problem. While trying yesterday to get the USB printer sharing on the base to work, I must have reset something in my Mac settings - Tiger 10.4.11, Parallels Build 5608, Windows XP Pro (SP2)

Internet/network connections work on the Mac until I start XP. Then XP works, but not the Mac.

I am using Bridged Network. I have tried searching the forum, but most issues have to do with no connection in the VM.

Please help!
 
I am having this exact same problem. I downloaded the latest version of Parallels from the site 2 days ago. I'm using Bootcamp. I'm using a bridged connection as well. I did make the VM's network adapter's MAC address the same as the real MAC address for the network adapter,

Update... I get my Mac connection back as soon as I Shut Down Vista. Any recommendations? I should also mention that I don't just lose the Internet on the Mac side, I lose my entire network.

Also, I'm on OS 10.5.5. I'm using Parallels 3.0 Build 5608.

I just tried disconnecting the adapter in Vista. I still couldn't get the network on the Mac side back until I "Shut Down".

Same problem

After functioning just fine for months, Parallels now grabs my internet connection: I get an error message from OS X on Parallels startup, saying that my local IP address is in use, and then I can go on line only through Parallels and Windows XP. I tried the tedious reboot, repair, reinstall, reboot, repair sequence recommended here, with no change. The only thing new or different was an OS X update recently involving Airport connections (I do not use Apple hardware for my wireless network, though). Help would be much appreciated. It's not practical to use Parallels if I can't leave the VM running in background.
 
My problem may be solved. I also have Boot Camp and have the MAC address the same to avoid reactivation. And I installed the latest OSX update to Airport Utility.

Parallels in Bridged mode had been working correctly for over a year.

I tried Parallels uninstall & reinstall several times. I ended up purchasing a tech call to Parallels last night. Changing to Shared Network did work, but it is not the mode I wanted. The Parallels tech person patiently helped me change back to Bridged Networking - and this time it worked. But when I shut down and restarted this morning, Bridged was no longer working. As soon as XP started, OSX lost connection.

I realized that when I was on the tech call, we had started Parallels and then XP using Actions then Start. I usually boot XP from a desktop alias that points to /Users/Documents/Parallels/[user]/My Boot Camp/My Boot Camp.pvs.

When I start Parallels then use Action then Start, it works - both OSX and XP have internet access. Looks like my alias was corrupt. Not sure if this will help anyone else, but I'm posting for whatever it's worth!
 
Nope, not solved. On shutdown & restart of MacBook Pro, Bridged doesn't work. Switched to Shared Networking and both OSX and XP have a connection.

Maybe more clues here.

1) Start my MBP, then start Parallels in Shared mode.
2) Start XP, both OSX & XP have connection.
3) Shut down XP and switch to Bridged in the Config Editor.
4) Start XP, and both have connection.
