Mac Email via Parallels Desktop Windows application?

I run an application under Parallels Desktop called Troopmaster, a data base manager. It has a feature that allows the creation of emails to addresses in the database. I have been unable to get this to work. I don't have an email program installed under Windows, and that may be the source of the problem, but I'm not sure. Putting in the required information for SMTP, etc. that I use for my Apple Mail program doesn't seem to work. Anybody got a clue how to fix this problem? Do I need to install a Windows email program, or is there a way to use the Apple Mail program?

Virtual Machine's Configure > Options > Applications > "Share Mac applications with Windows" and "Email: Open in Mac"
