What does "change mac osx resolution in full screen" mean in the parallels settings?

P.S. Also, how do I set it up so that I automatically subscribe to all posts?

With Windows, Parallels can change the resolution of the Windows desktop when you switch to full screen, so that the Windows desktop fills your Mac's screen.

With most other client operating systems, Parallels can't change their screen resolutions. So instead, Parallels will change the resolution of the Mac's display so that the client OS fills the screen.

Go into whatever forum you want to subscribe to, scroll down, at the bottom you will find something that allows you to subscribe. Click it. Select your method of subscription on the next page. Click ok. It should all be set now!

It's worth noting that this is currently broken in builds 3186/3188 (it broke fairly late in the beta cycle). So if you're asking because it doesn't appear to be doing what you think it should... it's not you, it's parallels. :D

I put a bug report on this in a couple weeks ago, but other than the automated "you'll hear from us in 3 days" I haven't heard a thing. Maybe they are using Neptunian days or something.
 
now we are tens ot thousands of users bug reports must be handled statistically
and not individually

Microsoft are masters of this

and must have developed a sophicticated bug report catcher which files and analizes them in a masive database

so that they can see which is the most out spread problem and needs fixing first

I have it checked on our computers here. It adjusts just fine with Build 3188. It makes it much easier for my users.

So, the answer would be yes, try it out.
 
Hello Dorian,

Let me explain:

This feature is developed for MacBook's and other wide screens.
If "Change Mac OS X resolution in full screen" option is disabled and you choose some exotic screen resolution - Parallels will exit fullscreen mode with error message.
If this option is enabled - Parallels sets screen resolution maximum approached to supported by your Mac's video adapter.
