Macbook freezes when running Windows 8.1 in Parallels Desktop 10

I'm running Windows 8.1 in Parallels Desktop 10 on a 13" Macbook Pro Retina. When the lid has been closed for some time with Windows running, the system freezes when I try to wake it from hibernation. I have all of the power saving settings in Windows disabled. I've had to begin suspending windows each time I'm through using it, which I would rather not have to do.

I understand this is an issue that has been going on for some time, reportedly since Desktop 7, so I thought I would start a new thread about it. Has anyone, user or tech support person, discovered a fix for this? Are there display or power settings I can change on the Mac side that will resolve it?
 
Please scan you Windows OS using the following steps:
1. Start your Windows virtual machine -> click on Start and type in the "Search" box "cmd" -> on the top of the list please right click on the "Command prompt" and choose run as administrator (for more information please see the screenshot in the attachment)

2. In the Command prompt window please type the following command:
sfc /scannow and hit Enter.

3. Wait till the end of process and check the issue.
 
Scan returned this message:

I tried to upload the log file but your system won't allow me to. The icon is ghosted out.
 
@JeffreyE1, in order to resolve the issue with Windows operation system corrupted files please perform the following steps:

1. Open the Command Prompt
(Click Start -> Please type in the "Search" box "cmd" (without quotes) -> and hit Enter)

2. In the Command Prompt Window please execute the following command:

DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth (hit Return/Enter)

3. Wait till operation is completed. Usually it takes 20-30 minutes.
4. Restart the virtual machine and check the issue.

I went to the page it links to; it didn't give any instructions for specifying a source. I don't know how to specify it on the command line.
 
I tried the instructions in the article, but it kept telling me it couldn't find the files. I ran the Restore Health command again; same result.
I'll try creating a new VM. I'm not looking forward to it as it will be a lot of work, and if the same thing continues to happen; that's the end of it - I'll be purchasing Fusion.
