Macbook Pro temperature

Just wondering if I am the only one noticing a significant increase in the temperature of the Macbook Pro when running Parallels. It goes from warm (OS X only) to hot (Parallels running XP Pro). It is hot enough that I wouldn't want to use it on my lap.

Anyone else noticing this??? Is this due to both cores of the processor working at the same time? :confused:
 
Yes, pretty much every time I start up parallels I hear the fans on my macbook start to crank up to a crescendo!
 
Since Parallels needs processor power (as many other programs) I doubt there is any possibility to reduce the temperature as result of the working processor.
 
My MBP warms up far more using the Airport interface than when running Parallels. With wireless off the keyboard gets downright chilly.
