Mail redirect

Hi everyone

Our clients have an issue whereby when they click a mailto hyperlink on a website they get the message "Could not perform this operation because the default mail client is not properly installed". Is there a way to set the mailto client to open up Outlook via 2X?

The server version we are using is 10.5

have you tried enabling mail redirection so that the local default mail client is launched?

this can eb done from the 2X client under the connection properties > advanced settings tab
 
Hi

I have enabled this feature but unfortunately the redirect doesn't work.

The issue being that on the local PC there is no 'mailto' registry settings which would be installed when Office is installed. If there was the setting then i could put in the settings to open up Outlook with the correct settings. Hope that makes sense?

I just tried on mine and it works just fine. What client are you using? What extensions are bound to this client? eml for example or some other format?
