Make mouse appear as specific model in host? (Without attaching directly to the host)

Is there anyway to make my mouse appear as a specific model in my VM without attaching it directly to the VM.

If I attach it directly to the VM it identifies as a specific model, but then I obviously can't use that mouse in OSX.

Any way to pass through the model to the VM?
