Ok I've searched for a while and I still am just not getting something
I just bought Parallels Desktop for Mac v3 and wanted to install Mandriva 2008.1 in a vm. Installation went without a hitch save 1, when I booted I had no X. I did some digging and found one thing to try was installing the tools .... from where???? my dmg contained no scripts that I could see, just pdfs and the application. I'm assuming I'm missing something obvious I just can't think of it.
Is there any base config somewhere for configuring X to work with Linux in a vm through parallels?? I'll keep digging but I have to assume this has been asked or talked about lots I just can't seem to find a workable solution yet :/ ... as in what are the resources offered via the VM to the host OS. In proc the device is listed as compatible unknown VGA so I fugured the tools would help identify the device to the kernel possibly? ... I just can't find the tools *shrug*
