I manually deleted an unused VM file in the Finder but now it still shows up in the Parallels Control Center, with no option that I can find to remove it. How do I get it out of my sight?

Did you right click on into the Parallels control center and then click "remove"?

Yes, it's greyed out for that VM.

The issue resolved itself after a host machine reboot. Shoulda tried turning it off and back on again first. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
