manually uninstalling Parallels

I'm an old Parallels user from back in 2.5. I recently got a new mac and ran migration utility. While I had previously uninstalled Parallels about a year ago, /Library/StartupItems/Parallels (containing Parallels, StartupParameters.plist, Pvsvnic.kext, and pvsnatd) was copied over to the new machine and pvsnatd is being run at boot time. I no longer have a need for virtualization and was wondering if I can just delete that directory or do I need an uninstall tool? I don't think I have the 2.5 dmg around anymore.

Thanks for any info. I get nervous just deleting kernel extensions and messing with things I shouldn't!

thanks. I tried searching for that before, but just did not find it.

Since I had no other Parallels items on my mac EXCEPT for the /Library/Startupitems/Paralles folder, and since the manual removal instructions was just a series of rm commands, I just removed the Parallels folder, rebooted, and all is good.
