Massive log files

Every time I run Parallels, I end up with a log file in the console.log.0 that is a few GB in size (it was 29 GB last time I deleted it!!) Is there some logging I can disable?

Is there anything in the log that you should know? Those things (logs) are trying to tell you something. You n cadisable it by editing /etc/syslog.conf, or you can modify the degree of logging to reduce the volume. But chances are excellent there's something really wrong that is causing the log to grow at that rate, and that, what ever it is, is what you should focus on and ultimately correct.
 
well I know its a parallels log and I didnt know if logging was turned on at such a high level for Parallels for all the betas?
 
Ok - forget everything I said. In my environment I have configured syslogd to create a console log file, and the log rotater names them as yours is found. It seems too much of a coincidence that your configuration would mirror mine and likely does not.

Well, don't forget everything I said - the logs still have meaningful content, but I'll see if it's something that repeats here.

Edit: I crawled my system and the only console logs I have are those I create - sorry.
