Maximum Concurrent / Multiple Virtual Machines Allowed?

Hello,

I'd like to consolidate a lot of computers used for remote access and such, and was wondering what is the maximum allowed number of virtual machines that can be run on a single computer? I was hoping to do mostly Mac OS X Lion virtualization, but can also move these machines onto Windows if need be. I'm looking for a software limitation.

I don't know of any limit set by parallels itself. So it will depend what you are running in each VM.

For example, a lightweight Linux install you could run many many times, as it wouldn't require much resource.

If you run up 10 copies of Windows 8 and try using them they will probably run poorly.

Are you looking at setting up some sort of virtual environment for testing/development purposes?
