memory access for the virtual machine

I have downloaded Autocad Arch 2017 Using parallels 12 for my MAC (windows 10). The program is not responding- I have turned my computer on and off several times. Autocad is frozen on the virtual machine's window desktop. I feel space is the issue. I have more space available on my computer than I initially delegated to the virtual machine. Is there a way of expanding the memory the virtual machine has access too?
